Baseball is NOT an official WCPSS sponsored sport at the middle school level. However, they coordinate with Wake County Club Level Baseball to
to fill the gap in the county with the absence of baseball programs for the middle schools. This way the students who played in Little League will have a path through middle school and get them prepared for high school. Being club level means games are not held on campus and costs and responsibilities are sponsored by the families, but the teams do base themselves from a home middle school (or sometimes a combination of two). Games are arranged by the Wake County Club Level office. The league consists of both JV and Varsity levels.
If your child is interested in playing baseball under the club umbrella here at East Cary, please attend tryouts on Thursday, November 7th at 6:30 PM at Bond Park, Field #6.
With all of the changes to East Cary Middle School’s population, it is likely that drafting our team will require pulling in a lot of new faces. Whether or not we field a JV or Varsity team will depend on what experience and talent shows up for tryouts. All levels are welcome! If you were on last year’s team, we absolutely want you back! Please note your prior experience on the tryout form. Please bring the completed form with you to tryouts.
Please share this information with all 6th through 8th grade ECMS students who you feel might have an interest in representing their school’s club level team! We would love to see a huge turnout! Please help spread the word!
